About the event
Farm & Ranch Educational Services took the summer off, but it's time to address the critical recent problems that we are having in the area counties; namely the mealybug epidemic, and building awareness of the potential problem with the screwworm. Be aware of the fall armyworm and the newest pest, the mealybug, which has caused major damage and loss of production in our improved forages. we will cover targeting methods to control the grassbur and other problem grasses. We will also discuss the cost per acre for pre- and post-emergents to clean our pastures up, and how we will preserve what moisture we have with aggressive weed control with cost per acre factored in!
